ARPA Programs and Projects

The City of Miami was awarded $137,639,417 to respond to the economic and public health impacts of COVID-19 and stride to contain impacts on the communities, residents, and businesses. These are the programs that The City's departments have identified as priorities of this initiative.

ARPA Programs: Human Services

The Department of Human Services will focus their ARPA funding on employment, job training, and small business growth. The goals will be to support the City’s local workforce, and families, as well as to help economically disadvantaged residents rebound from the pandemic.

ARPA Programs: Parks Equipment and Site Improvements

The Parks Department will focus ARPA funds on upgrading and rehabilitating existing parks and equipment for the benefit of all. Such efforts include new installations, fixed roofing, ADA enhancements, and field turf, fencing, and lighting additions.

ARPA Programs: Housing and Community Development

The Department of Housing & Community Development programs funded through ARPA are to assist Miami's economically disadvantaged residents and neighborhoods.

ARPA Programs: Innovation and Technology

The Department of Innovation and Technology drives innovation, modern technology practices, process improvement, and collaboration in order to create exceptional user experiences.

The following programs and projects are initiatives that the District 1 Commissioner has identified to be funded with the ARPA grant.

ARPA Community Projects: District 2

The following programs and projects are initiatives that the District 2 Commissioner has identified to be funded with the ARPA grant.

ARPA Administration: Office of Management & Budget

Fiscal Recovery Funds may be used for direct and indirect administrative expenditures involved in administrating the program, including costs of consultants to support effective management and oversight, including consultation for ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and other requirements.

ARPA Revenue Replacement

Fiscal Recovery Funds may be used for the provision of government services to the extent of the reduction in revenue experienced due to the COVID–19 public health emergency.
