Updates from the County

  • Residents should call 3-1-1 (The County's Information Call Center) to report downed traffic signals and  trees blocking roads. 
  • Additional information about transportation, closings and re-openings  etc. can be found on the County's Emergency Status Page.
  • Tap water is safe to drink
  • Miami-Dade's countywide curfew has been lifted

Latest Updates On City of Miami Services

City Government offices will resume normal business hours Thursday September 14th. 

REMINDER:  9-1-1 is only for reporting life-threatening emergencies.

General Updates

  • The City of Miami curfew has been lifted. 
  • Tree cutting,  road clearance, and debris removal efforts are ongoing citywide.
  • Treat all intersections with non-functioning traffic signals as 4 way stops

Power Outages

  • If you experience a power outage, please call 1-800-4-Outage or report online at http://fplmaps.com.
  • Do not assume neighbors have reported your outage . Your report will allow FPL and other residents to stay up to date on activity.
  • FPL expects to restore power to all Miami customers by the end of the weekend.  

Solid Waste

  • UPDATE:  Regular garbage collection resumed Thursday September 14th .  Green containers should be placed outside away from any other object such as vehicles.  Garbage pickup is contingent on the ability of the trucks to safely access areas.  Residential  recycling collection will resume Monday September 18th.  Place your blue bin outside only on your regularly  scheduled day.  

Parks

  • Debris is being cleared from  parks. All programs at Parks are suspended until further notice. This includes after school, daycare, senior activities, swim lessons, and park permits.

Marinas

  • All 3 City of Miami Marinas are closed.  The Dock Master Building at Dinner Key Marina has re-opened for service.

Transportation

  • All Miami Trolley routes are now operating from  8am to 8pm.   Some  routes might be slightly modified to get around debris and/or traffic signals that are not functioning.  

Public Meetings

  • Rescheduled:  Regular City Commission Meeting ,First Budget Hearing  and  Midtown CRA Meeting originally scheduled for Thursday September 14th will now be held  on Tuesday September 19th.
