Confirm City Limits and Property Value
Your home (single-family, townhome, twinhome, or condominium) must be within City boundaries.
Open your web browser and type: https://www.miamidade.gov/pa/property_search.asp. Click on the Property Search button, type in the home address, and press the search button. If your property is in the boundaries of the City of Miami, the folio number will begin with "01". If your folio number does not begin with “01,” you are not eligible for this program.
Check on the same screen for your home’s assessed value. The assessed value must be no more than $400,000. If the assessed value is higher than that amount, you are not eligible for this program.
Confirm Eligibility & Program Details
You must own your home and be residing in this home to be eligible. Only households with income less than or equal to 140% of the area median income, adjusted for family size, are eligible.

You can also pick up a paper application from one of the City’s Neighborhood Service Centers. Any applications received for homes located outside of City of Miami limits will be immediately disqualified. Only one application will be accepted per address.
Lottery Held
After the application period closed, a computerized lottery was held at Miami City Hall to assign random numbers to the applications for this program, in order to establish a waitlist setting the numerical order in which the applicants will be processed. The lottery waitlist has been coded with the applicant’s first initial, last name, and the first three digits of their home address.
Wait List
Applying for the program, and or placement on the program waitlist, does not guarantee eligibility or assistance.
Inspection Appointment & Collect Documents
Applicants will be contacted from the waitlist in numerical order. When they are contacted, an appointment will be scheduled with the homeowner so that an inspector can visit the home and make an initial assessment of eligible needs. If the property passes the initial assessment, the applicant will be asked to submit ALL the required documentation noted on the Steps to Follow flyer (page 2), along with a COVID release.
Proceed with Work
If you comply with the above, all costs, repairs, timing, and repayments will be explained to you.
