New City of Miami Administration Building

The new City of Miami Administration Building will be part of Miami Freedom Park, a 130-acre mixed-use development that will be home to Inter Miami CF’s new stadium, on city-owned land next to Miami International Airport. The proposed facility is eight stories with government offices spread out over 257,000 square feet, with an attached parking garage for up to 900 vehicles, at a site at 1822 NW 37th Ave.  The building’s design encourages interaction between the people in the building and the public, and a new adjacent 58-acre public park.

The city has been looking to replace its administrative campus for close to 10 years after officials declared the current office tower, the Miami Riverside Center at 444 SW 2nd Ave., “functionally obsolete” in 2015. In 2016, the city requested proposals for development of a new facility with Class A office space within city limits to “functionally, securely and conveniently serve Miami’s residents.”

Construction on the new Administration Building is expected to commence Q1 2025 with move-in expected Q4 2027.
