Federal regulations governing CDBG, and other HUD programs require that a participating jurisdiction provide citizens with reasonable notice of and an opportunity to comment on any new allocation and/ or amendment of HUD programs. In addition, the public is advised of the new allocation(s)/ amendment(s) to the funding of the city program(s) as indicated below: * †
- Discuss and proposed resolution authorizing amending the City of Miami’s Department of Housing and Community Development’s Housing Program Policies, in order to change the maximum amount of benefits, while using Community Development Block Grant (“CDBG”) funds as well as State Housing Initiative Program (“SHIP”) funds.
- Discuss and proposed resolution authorizing the approval of the City of Miami ("City") Annual Action Plan for Fiscal Year (“FY”) 2023-2024; authorizing the City Manager to submit the Annual Action Plan for FY 2023-2024 to the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (“HUD”) for review and approval.
- Discuss and proposed resolution authorizing the allocation and appropriation of ARP funds in the amount not to exceed $509,280.80 to the agencies described below, for public service activities.

4. Discuss and proposed resolution authorizing an amendment to the City of Miami ("CITY") Local Housing Assistance Plan ("LHAP"), for the Fiscal Year (“FY’) 2019-2022 and Fiscal Year (“FY”) 2022-2025, to incorporate the changes made to the Single Family Rehabilitation program, the Single Family Replacement Home program and the Emergency Home Repair Assistance program, respectively.
* The adoption of an Ordinance or Resolution by the City Commission, related to the proposed funding recommendation(s)/ amendment(s), authorizes the City Manager to draft/amend the appropriate City of Miami Action Plan.
† † This item(s) will be available for public comment and review for a period of no less than 30 days. The review and comment period begin on Tuesday, June 27, 2023, and ends on Wednesday, July 26, 2023. The proposed amendment(s) will be presented to the City Commission for approval on Thursday, July 27, 2023. Draft copies of the agenda items will be available at the City of Miami Department of Housing and Community Development office located at 14 NE 1 Avenue, 2 Floor, Miami, FL 33132 (HCD Address).
