PUBLIC HEARING

Federal regulations governing CDBG and other HUD programs require that a participating jurisdiction provide citizens with reasonable notice of and an opportunity to comment on any new allocation and/or amendment of HUD programs. In addition, the public is advised of the new allocation(s)/ amendment(s) to the funding of the City program(s) as indicated below: * †
- Discussion and proposed resolution authorizing the City Manager the allocation of Program Year 2021-2022 Community Development Block Grant (“CDBG”) funds, in the amount of $3,098,006.65 in the Economic Development category, to the agencies and/or departments specified in attachment “A” (moved to September 23 agenda)
- Discussion and proposed resolution authorizing the City Manager the allocation of Program Year 2021-2022 Community Development Block Grant (“CDBG”) funds, in the amount of $853,386.15 and $29,410.72 from previous year program income, for a total amount of $882,796.87 in the Public Service category, to the agencies specified in attachment “A"(moved to September 23 agenda)
- Discussion and proposed resolution authorizing the City Manager the acceptance of State Housing Initiatives Partnership (“SHIP”) funds in the amount of $2,088,221.00 for fiscal year 2021-2022 for the strategies under the current Ship Local Housing Assistance Plan.
* The adoption of an Ordinance or Resolution by the City Commission, related to the proposed funding recommendation(s)/ amendment(s), authorizes the City Manager to draft/amend the appropriate City of Miami Action Plan.
† † This item(s) will be available for public comment and review for a period of no less than 5 days. The review and comment period begin, Friday, September 3, 2021, and ends Friday, September 10, 2021. The proposed funding recommendation(s)/ amendment(s) will be presented to City Commission for approval on Monday, September 13, 2021 (Virtual Public Hearing) as authorized by HUD.
