Federal regulations governing CDBG, and other HUD programs require that a participating jurisdiction provide citizens with reasonable notice of and an opportunity to comment on any new allocation and/ or amendment of HUD programs. In addition, the public is advised of the new allocation(s)/ amendment(s) to the funding of the city program(s) as indicated below: * †
- Discuss and proposed resolution allocating of CDBG funds for FY 2024-25 in the amount of $2,708,809.00 in the Economic Development category, to the agencies and/or departments specified below, for economic development activities beginning October 1, 2024.

2. Discuss and proposed resolution approving the City of Miami Department of Housing and Community Development’s Affordable Housing Incentive Strategies (“Strategies”) as recommended by the Affordable Housing Advisory Committee (“AHAC”) and as required by section 420.9076, Florida Statutes.
3. Discuss and proposed resolution amending the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher and Moderate Rehabilitation (“Programs”) Administrative Plan (“Plan”) to include the implementation of Small Area Fair Market Rents (“SAFMRs”,) adopting a no change in policy option for units where payment standards will decrease at existing client’s next recertification, and adding certain mandatory modifications related to Mainstream Vouchers.
4. Discuss and proposed resolution approving the reallocation of Community Development Block Grant Cares Act (“CDBG-CV3”) funds in the amount of $120,000.00 to the Department of Parks and Recreation (“Parks Department”) to support park improvement activities in Douglas Park, as specific below:

The review and comment period begins on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, and ends on Wednesday, November 20, 2024. The proposed amendment(s) will be presented to the City Commission for approval on Thursday, November 21, 2024.
