Federal regulations governing CDBG, and other HUD programs require that a participating jurisdiction provide citizens with reasonable notice of and an opportunity to comment on any new allocation and/ or amendment of HUD programs. In addition, the public is advised of the new allocation(s)/ amendment(s) to the funding of the city program(s) as indicated below: * ^†

1. Discuss and proposed resolution allocating CDBG Program Income funds generated from August 1, 2024, to September 30, 2024, in the total amount of $46,693.90 to the activities specified below:

2. Discuss and proposed resolution allocating Home Investment Partnerships Program (“HOME”) program income and an amount of $86,020.00 in recaptured funds for a total of $87,473.00, as described below:

3. Discuss and proposed resolution approving a Substantial Amendment to the City of Miami's Annual Action Plan for FY 2021-2022.

4. Discuss and proposed resolution recommending the reallocation of HOME-ARPA funds in the total amount of $8,000,000.00 to the Homeless Trust, as a contribution for the acquisition of the property located at 10821 Caribbean Blvd, Cutler Bay, Florida, (“The Hideaways by the Bay Project”).

The adoption of an Ordinance or Resolution by the City Commission, related to the proposed funding recommendation(s)/ amendment(s), authorizes the City Manager to draft/amend the appropriate City of Miami Action Plan.

† † This item(s) will be available for public comment and review for a period of no less than 30 days. The review and comment period begins on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, and ends on Wednesday, December 11, 2024. The proposed amendment(s) will be presented to the City Commission for approval on Thursday, December 12, 2024. Draft copies of the agenda items will be available at the City of Miami Department of Housing and Community Development office located at 14 NE 1 Avenue, 2 Floor, Miami, FL 33132 (HCD Address). Comments to amendment(s) must be submitted to: nancyromani@miamigov.com, Attn: Nancy Romani, and must be received no later than December 11, 2024. Interested individuals are encouraged to attend this Public Hearing. The meeting site is accessible to people with disabilities.
