Brickell Key Bridge Rehabilitation/Repairs

Project is anticipated to start construction in 2025. Currently working on the project design.

SE 8th Street Brickell Key Drive, over Brickell Bay – Public Safety

Project Boundaries: From Brickell Key Drive to the end of Brickell Key Bridge, including the eastern side seawall

Scope of Work:

  1. Bridge Infrastructure (underdeck) and Seawall Repairs (east bridge supports – on Brickell Key side) 
  2. Bridge Milling and Resurfacing

Rehabilitation and repairs of the Brickell Key Bridge will include:

  • Full deck depth repairs at the beginning and end of the bridge
  • Repair of the bridge drainage system and bridge surface repaving with new latex modified concrete (LMC) overlay
  • Replacement of all expansion joints and asphalt replacement of the bridge approach slabs
  • Inspection/repair of planters and support brackets, and repairs of the of the Brickell Key Bridge seawall

Estimated Project Cost: $6.6 M

Project Duration: Bridge repairs are to be done in two phases, with a duration of eight months (8) for both phases
