East Flagami Neighborhood Flood Improvements

Project Scope:
Design-Build of stormwater infrastructure and associated roadway improvements including new and upsized stormwater inlets and pipes, exfiltration trenches, stormwater pump station with injection wells, roadway reconstruction, milling and resurfacing, ADA ramps, signage and pavement markings. This project also includes a requested Joint Participation Agreement (JPA) with Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department (MDWASD) for water main system betterments.
Project Cost Estimate:
$70,497,875
Project Benefits and Impacts:
The project will help alleviate localized flooding experienced by the community.
- Number of properties impacted: Total = 765 (553 Residential and 212 Non-Residential)
- Total property value protected: $478M
Project Boundaries:
The project limits are bounded by NW 7th Street on the north, NW 1st Street to the south, NW 42nd Avenue to the west, and NW 32nd Place to the east. The stormwater pump station location is anticipated at an empty lot at the following address: 425 NW 37th Avenue.

Road Closures:
Some road closures will occur during construction but will be sequenced appropriately to minimize disruption to the residents.
Estimated Construction Timeline:
- Estimated Construction Start: Spring 2025
- Estimated Construction End: Summer 2027
