District 5 Commissioner Christine King, the City of Miami Office of Capital Improvements and
the Department of Parks and Recreation proudly announce
the Moore Park Gymnasium Improvements project!

New gymnasium elements will include:
- New multi-purpose sports gymnasium (consisting of 20,000 additional square feet to the existing community center)
- Elevated 8 foot wide running track (above the gymnasium area)
- 2 high school sized basketball courts (side-by-side)
- NBA sized basketball court superimposed over the side-by-side high school courts
- Volley ball courts
- Bleachers and score boards around the perimeter of the gym
- New restrooms
- Lightning detection for the building
- Lightning warning system
- Art in Public Places (AIPP) elements
Site improvements will include:
- Modifications to the existing sidewalks and landscaping around the perimeter of the gym
- Parking to support the additional square footage (approximately 43 spaces)
NBA sized basketball court, superimposed over the side-by-side high school sized courts
(the blue line shows the NBA court and the yellow lines the superimposed high-school size courts)
