South West Wynwood Neighborhood Flood Improvements

This project includes road reconstruction, drainage improvements, sidewalks, ADA compliant ramps, curb and/or gutter structures, pavement markings and striping, and roadway signage. The proposed drainage will include new and upsized stormwater inlets and pipes, and exfiltration trenches. A new pump station, with connection to a series of underground injection wells through a force main, with an outfall to Biscayne Bay.

El proyecto incluye reconstrucción de carreteras, mejoras de drenaje, aceras, rampas que cumplen con ADA, estructuras de bordillos y/o canaletas y señalización vial.  El drenaje propuesto incluirá tomas y tuberías de aguas pluviales de mayor tamaño. También incluye una nueva estación de bombeo, con conexión a una serie de pozos de inyección subterráneos a través de una tubería de impulsión, con descarga a la Bahía Biscayne.

  • The project is under Environmental review. Following Environmental review approval, the City of Miami Procurement will post an RFQ Solicitation for civil engineering design services.

The project will help alleviate localized flooding experienced by the community.  El proyecto ayudará a aliviar las inundaciones experimentadas por la comunidad en el área.

  • Number of properties impacted / Número de Propiedades Impactadas por el proyecto: Total - 662 -- 419 Residential/Residencial and/y 243 Non-Residential/No-Residencial.  
  • Total property value protected / Valor total de protección de propiedad : $ 926,229,373. 

Project Boundaries / Límites del Proyecto: 

The project limits are bounded by NW 28 Street on the North, NW 16 Street to the South, NW 5 Place to the West, and NW 1 Court to the East. The stormwater pump station location is anticipated in the vicinity of NW 17 Street.

Los límites del proyecto están delimitados por la Calle NW 28 al Norte, la Calle NW 16 al Sur, NW 5 Place al Oeste y la NW 1 Court al Este.  La bomba de aguas pluviales esta anticipada a ser colocada en la vecindad de la Calle NW 17.
