Ms. Sodre joined the Office of the City Attorney in May 2023. She is currently assigned to the Public Records & Compliance division where she handles public records and compliance issues as well as torts, subrogations, and other state law claims. Prior to becoming an Assistant City Attorney, Ms. Sodre focused her practice on general civil litigation with an emphasis on first and third party insurance-related matters. Ms. Sodre was born and raised in Miami, Florida, and graduated from Florida International University with a B.A. in Psychology and a minor in Criminal Justice. She earned her J.D. from the St. Thomas University School of Law and is licensed to practice in Florida state and federal courts. Ms. Sodre served as in house counsel defending the largest Florida automobile insurance company against third party claims and later was a senior associate at the oldest Florida-based law firm where she represented the largest insurers in the country. Ms. Sodre handles all aspects of litigation from case inception through completion. She also previously interned with the Office of the City Attorney as a law student in the Summer of 2010.
