CulturFest305 - Art in Public Places Event
Live art demonstrations through the division of Art in Public Places (AIPP), the City of Miami's public art division. Hosted in collaboration with the History of Miami Museum and the artist Sebastian Duncan-Portuondo.
Sebastian Duncan-Portuondo will be presenting his recent City of Miami AIPP project at the Gold Star Family Memorial Park by sharing his designs and process for this artwork as well as providing participatory art activities for the public. Items on display include original designs, material samples and documentation of the artwork. The public will be invited to create multi-colored glass pins (choose 3 colors of glass and glue them to a small broach style pin that resembles a military commendation bar) and paper flowers that relate to themes of honor, sacrifice and remembrance
