Miami River Greenway Project and Roadway Improvements

Project Scope:
The project includes the construction of road and drainage improvements. Road work comprises roadway milling & resurfacing, limited road reconstruction, including new sidewalks, new pedestrian trail, new drainage improvements, new curb & gutter or repair of curb & gutter, striping, signage, landscaping, hardscape, decorative street and pedestrian lighting, environmental/archaeological assessment, and ADA ramps based on the Miami River Greenways Master Plan.
Project Phases:
Phase I - The intent of this phase is to remove NB Pavement, Reconstruct NB Lane, Curb and Gutter, Shoulder, Sidewalk and construct new drainage.
Phase II - The intent of this phase is to remove SB Pavement, Reconstruct SB Lane, Curb and Gutter, Shoulder, Sidewalk and construct new drainage.
Phase III - The intent of this phase is to construct overlay, curb and gutter along NW 24th Ave and Miami River Greenway. This phase is done in two steps with flagger. Step 1 Construct Sidewalk, Curb and Gutter up to Sta: 2+00 along NW 24th Ave and Detour the pedestrian traffic along the Miami River Greenway from the sidewalk on the southside. After the North side sidewalk is construct. Shift the pedestrians to the newly constructed sidewalk and construct rest of the sidewalk along the south side.
Phase IV - The intent of this phase is to install Friction Course and Pavement Marking.

- Number of properties impacted: Total = 12 (2 Residential and 10 Non-Residential)
- Total property value protected: $30M
Project Boundaries:
The project limits are bounded by NW North Miami River from NW 24th Street to NW 22nd Ave.
Road Closures:
Some road closures will occur during construction but will be sequenced appropriately to minimize disruption to the residents.
Estimated Construction Timeline:
- Construction Start: Fall 2025
- Substantial Completion: Summer 2027
