Project Number: 40-B233805

Project Scope:

Design-Build of stormwater infrastructure and associated roadway improvements including new and upsized stormwater inlets and pipes, lining of existing outfall pipes, stormwater pump station with injection wells, roadway reconstruction, milling and resurfacing, ADA ramps, signage and pavement markings. This project originally included a requested Joint Participation Agreement (JPA) with Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department (MDWASD) for water main system betterments. However, MDWASD confirmed that improvements are no longer needed.

Project Benefits and Impacts:

The project will help alleviate localized flooding experienced by the community.

  • Number of properties impacted: Total = 816 (740 Residential and 76 Non-Residential)
  • Total property value protected: $1B

Project Boundaries:

The project limits are bounded by NE 24th Street on the North, NE 22nd Street to the South, NE 4th Avenue to the West, and Biscayne Bay to the East. The stormwater pump station location is anticipated in the vicinity of NE 4th Avenue and NE 23rd Terrace.
