Do you need to set up garbage and recycling at a new address? The City of Miami provides these services to homes and residential properties (with no more than three units) in order to keep our neighborhoods clean and beautiful.
Only the property owner may start new garbage and recycling service. If you are in a property with more than three units, you must contact a private, city-approved(PDF, 21KB) company to start your service.
NOTE: If you are a renter, check with the building’s owner or property manager to see if this service is already set up. If not, the owner will need to apply.

Set up New Garbage or Recycling Service
You will hear from a sanitation code inspector within three days to schedule a home visit so that we can get your service started. If you haven’t heard from us by then, please call (305) 960-2801.
