Copy of a Request to Continue from Jazmine Preston-O'Neill, Assistant City Attorney, concerning the Appeal Hearing of Rony Rodriguez, Police Officer, as it relates to his 80-hour suspension, effective November 13, 2023. Attorney Eugene Gibbons expressed no objection to the request (CSB#23-20D). (DISCUSSION). Hearing of Appeal is scheduled for June 25, 2024.

Assistant City Attorney Preston-O'Neill appeared before the Board and requested a continuance on behalf of the Department of Police, and stated the reason for the request. Eugene Gibbons, Attorney on behalf of Rony Rodriguez, appeared via Zoom and expressed no objection to the continuance request. Following discussion, the Board granted the department's continuance, which resulted as follows:

Chair Sutton advised that the Board the meeting of June 18, 2024, was a special meeting set aside for any multi-day hearings; however, having had none, the meeting date can be cancelled if that is the will of the Board. Following discussion, Member Jackson Jr., made a motion to cancel the meeting, which resulted as follows:

Jasmine Preston-O'Neill, Assistant City Attorney, advised the Board of a joint request for continuance concerning both Appeal Hearings on behalf of Marquise Williams (Items H1 & H2). Eugene Gibbons, Attorney, appeared via Zoom, notified the Board that he will be representing Officer Williams in both appeals (CSB #22-26D and CSB #23-14D). Attorney Gibbons confirmed the joint continuance request.
Following discussion, the Board made a motion to GRANT the joint continuance, which resulted as follows:

Hearing Appeal on behalf of Nicole Tyler, former Police Officer, concerning her Termination, effective February 5, 2020.

Chair Sutton called for the Hearing of Appeal on behalf of Nicole Tyler, former Police Officer. Attorney Zachary Riback appeared on behalf of Ms. Tyler and advised the Board of his Notice of Withdrawal concerning the Request to Appeal. The Hearing of Appeal will be considered withdrawn and removed from the Board's docket.

There being no further business before the Board, a motion was entered to adjourn the meeting at 10:22 am, which resulted as follows:
